Sonja Mary Stergar Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonja Mary Stergar (Willoughby Hills, Ohio), who passed away on May 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sonja Mary Stergar to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Jr.; her parents, Ferdinand Zupan and Maria Zupan; and her siblings-in-law, Millie Jeraj (late Frank) and Wally Stergar (Kathy).
She is survived by: her children, Tim, Jeff (Carole), Greg (Laura), Chris (Petra) and Cindy Adkins (Chris); her siblings, Erika Mundey (late Mann) and Rudy Zupan (Mariann); and her sisters-in-law, Ann Erdani (late Miro) and Mary Rees (late Dave). She is also survived by her children and later her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home (28890 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church (32114 Vine St, Willowick, OH 44095). A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Sonja to St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick, OH 44095, or St. Vitus Church, 6019 Lausche Ave., Cleveland, OH 44103.
