With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Gail Manninen (Willowick, Ohio), born in Cleveland, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Darlene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Darlene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Norman Manninen; her brother James Garland II; her nephew James Garland III; her parents, Vivian Burnheimer Dunbar and James Garland; and her sister Ruth Dinwiddie.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Erieside Church (221 E 320th St, Willowick, OH 44095).
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the church or to Cypress Hospice.
