“Ray was my boss at purvis pool. I spent many hours at the pool sitting and talking with ray in his chair. He was a great guy and role model to me. I have written several essays for school about Ray and the lessons he didn’t even know he was teaching me. Mainly about how important it is to be a kind loving man. He treated everyone at the pool as family and always made us smile. He talked a lot about his “good ol days” and the struggles he went through but he always came to work and always smiling”

“I was lucky enough to know Ray as my first "boss" for many summers working at Purvis Park Pool. He was a father to all of us as staff and we all loved him very much.
