He is survived by : his parents, Carliss Jr. Smith and Cheri Smith of Wilmington; his siblings, Brandon Smith and Rebecca Smith; his niece Shirley Clifton; his grandparents, Carliss Ray Smith Sr. of Wilmington, Tom and Ruth Armstrong of Missouri; and his aunts and uncles, Rhonda Bond (Mark), JoAnna Powell (Aaron), Michael Smith (Shaunda), Kim Armstrong Speaight, Susan Smalley (Clinton), Shane Armstrong (Lori) and Chad Armstrong (Shanda).

Contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
