He is survived by: his wife Shirley M. Burton (Borton); his son Michael J. Burton (Martha) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Bradley J. Burton (Kelly) of Wilmington and Ashley M. Burton (Mitchell Paradine) of Austin, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Kendall, Silas, Elliotte and Laelynn Burton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
