He was predeceased by: his parents, James Philip Black and Evelyn Gaston Black; and his siblings, Linda Albrecht and John Black. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Wright Black; his children, Michael Edward Black (Tasha Davis) and Rachel Brooks (Brian); his grandchildren, William Brooks, Alexander Brooks, Emma Brooks and Drew Edward Black; and his sisters-in-law, Shelley Kratzer, Susan Kratzer and Lori Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilmington Assembly of God (609 W Locust St, Wilmington, OH 45177). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
