It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Cooper of Winchester, Ohio, who passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Gary Cooper to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Cooper and Lorena Cooper (Moore); and his sisters, Mary Helen Gast, Shelba Newman and Betty Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Cooper of Winchester; his sons, Mark Cooper of Florence, KY and Donald Cooper of New Orleans, LA; his stepchildren, Eric J. Shriver (Bev) of Mineral Wells, WV, Mark Shriver of Grafton, OH and Erin Brown (Guy) of Sardinia, OH; and his brother Dale Cooper of Decatur. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meeker Funeral Home (308 N Columbus St, Russellville, OH 45168). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter-Miller American Legion Post #394.
