Richard leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Richard will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Davis and Marjorie (Winkle); and his sons, Charles Richard "Chuck" Davis and Jeffrey Joe Davis. He is survived by: his wife Rita Davis of Winchester; his children, Marjorie Rae Davis of West Union, Lora Currier of Anderson and Anthony Francis of South Carolina; and his sister Joyce Polley of Winchester. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
