He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mers and Mary Carolyn Mers (Wall). He is survived by: his wife Tammie Mers (Newman); his children, David Mers and Amanda Garvie; his brother Tim Mers of Winchester; his sister-in-law Cheryl Reid of Lake Waynoka; and his grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha.
In lieu of flowers, Rick's family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in his name to Family Traditions Animal Adventure LLC or to pancreatic cancer research.
