William left this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 66, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale L. Mathias Sr. and Mary Lou Hodges Mathias; and his siblings, Dr. Dale Mathias Jr. and Judy Lewis. He is survived by: his sons, Joshua, Jimmy and Matthew; his siblings, David Lee Mathias (Brittany) of Winesburg, OH, Betty Duvall of Akron, OH and Beth Ann Richards (George) of Winesburg, OH; and his close friends, Brian, Ashley Yoder, Nate and Karen Miller. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Reformed Church (2082 E Old Main St, Millersburg, OH 44654). A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the West Lawn Cemetery (2275 US-62, Dundee, OH 44624).
