He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe and Julia Thacker; his daughter Betsy Thacker; and his sisters, Ellen, Wanda and Dova.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Thacker of Winchester; his children, Loretta Polley, Jerrol of Winchester, Mary Scott, Alex Thacker (Angie) and Sam Thacker of Winchester; and his siblings, Tawna Nesbitt (Dennis), Jane Hess of Dunkinsville, Theresa Reed of Blue Creek, Lynn Cable (Charlie), Mark Thacker of Seaman, Jimmy Thacker (Vickie), Ronnie (Maradeth) and Harold (Rita). He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
