We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2025, at the age of 87, Harold G. Metheny Jr. of Windham, Ohio, born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Metheny, and Margaret "Ellie" Metheny, Sr.; his wife Shirley Metheny; and his grandson Justin Chenoweth. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Jajcinovic (Richard), Melissa Chenoweth (Kenneth) and Kimberly Cooper (Eric); his grandsons, Joshua Chenoweth (Cristie), Mathew Cooper (Alexandra), Michael Jajcinovic and Nicolas Cooper (Kaylie); and his sisters, Bertha Cecchini (Aurelio) and Roberta Metheny. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, a nephew, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Homes - Garrettsville (8382 Center St, Garrettsville, OH 44231). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (3235 OH-303, Newton Falls, OH 44444).
