He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Skarote and Minnie Vivo Skarote; his siblings, Josephine Casalini, Mary Salreno, Kay Hickey, Sam and James Skarote; and his in-laws, Steve and Kay Klepin.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Skarote (Klepin); his son Stephen Skarote of Pittsburgh; his siblings, Joseph Skarote (Chris) of Struthers and Elizabeth Mirone of Ocean View, NJ; his sister-in-law Donna Simerlink of Poland; his nephew Robert Simerlink (Patty); and his great-nephew Steffen Simerlink (Mackenzie). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Family Church (2729 Center Rd, Youngstown, OH 44514). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Children's Hunger Alliance, which helps to feed underprivileged children in Ohio.
