She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy "Gabby" Sr. Meadows and Dorothy Kinder Meadows; her husband Randy Sparks, Sr.; her brother Lonnie Ray Meadows; her mother-in-law Betty Sparks; her siblings-in-law, Elmer Brown, Jeff Sparks, Stacy Sparks, Linda Meadows and Wilma Joyce; her nephew Jonathan Brown; and her niece Julia Sparks (Steve Hartzog).

She is survived by : her children, Randy Sparks, Jr. (Becky) of North Carolina, J. D. Sparks (Candy) of North Carolina and Marlena Elswick (Donnie) of Virginia; her siblings, Roy Meadows, Jr. (Shelia) of Swords Creek, VA, Gregory Meadows (Tracie) of Reynolds Ride, VA, Donnie Meadows of Reynolds Ride, VA, Kathy Dunford (Lloyd) of Reynolds Ridge and Donna McClanahan of Wodsdfield; and her close friends, Aleta Aldridge and Stanley Sparks. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren.
