He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas R. Emery and Mildred Dressler Emery; his siblings, Doris King, Jim, John and Orlan Emery; and his niece Karley Sue Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Hammonds Emery; his children, Jeannie Shook (Paul) of Tuppers Plains, Ohio and Chadwick Emery of Woodsfield, Ohio; his stepchildren, Dawn Saboley (Andrew) of Waverly, Ohio, Douglas Anderson (Lisa) of California and Troy Anderson (Sarah) of New Albany, Ohio; and his siblings, Eldra Smalley of Ashland, Sue Williams (Jim) of Woodsfield, Ohio and Raymond Emery (Julie) of Ashland, Ohio. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
