He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Ring and Lillie Ring (Briggs); and his brothers, Eugene, Herb Jr., Edgar, William and Bernard.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie; his sister Rosa Lee Tatum of DeLand; his children, Paula Ring of Woodsfield, Marc Ring (Helen Kay) of Woodsfield, Matthew Ring (Greg Woods) of Westerville and Andrew Ring (Lori) of Beverly; his grandchildren, Megan, Marissa, Zachary, Kelsey and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Lydia, Gavin, Elijah and Riley Ann.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe County Arts Council or St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Woodsfield.
