He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Ailiff and Nezbeth Altice Ailiff; his wife Maralyn Elaine Ailiff; his siblings, Sargent Major Donald W. Ailiff and Nancy Pritchard; and his great grandchild Nicholas Christopher.

He is survived by : his children, Kathy Christopher (Tim) of Albion, Donald James Ailiff of Woodsfield and Mike Ailiff (Kristie) of Woodsfield; his grandsons, Justin Christopher (Kelli) of Diamond, Joe Christopher of Plainfield, Jim Christopher of Albion, Josh Ailiff (Niki) of Shaker Heights, Casey Ailiff (Amanda) of Mantua and Michael Ailiff of Akron; his stepgrandchildren, Trinity, Olivia and Erit; and his great grandchildren, Josh, Meghan, Bryce, Noah, Molly, Anna, Summer, Ally and Gavin.
