She was predeceased by: her parents, George Simpkins and Norma Jean Parker Simpkins; her husband Harold Asburay; her daughter Nancy Ella Jane Wooton; her granddaughter Destiny; and her siblings, George, Donna, Bonnie and Carol.
She is survived by: her children, James Heckman (Barbara Pohl) of West Virginia and Catherine Tomblin (Charles Davis) of West Virginia; and her grandchildren, Hank, James II, Jacob, Annabella, Heaven, Courtney, Yvonne, Josalynn, Michael, Andrew and Christopher. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
