He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hensel and Mary Friend; and his siblings, Kenneth Holmes, Louella Miller, Rhonda Hensel and Martha Holmes.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Ann Wharton of Wooster; his grandchild Shannon Wharton Jr.; and his siblings, Gary Hensel, Mike Hensel, Ken Friend, Steve Friend, Karen Butler, Patty Hensel, Betty Hensel, Mary Friend and June Saverdra.
