She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Carter and Beacher Carter; her husband Kenny of September; her brothers, Cecil Carter, Verne Mohler and Harry Carter; her son-in-law Steve Zarlengo; and her grandson Mark Zarlengo.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Zarlengo of Wooster, Ric McVey (Nori) of Moreno Valley and Bill McVey (Kim) of Creston.
