James Alvin Ditzler Obituary
In loving memory of James Alvin Ditzler of Wooster, Ohio, who departed this world on October 1, 2025 at the age of 89. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Ditzler and Elizabeth Ditzler (Spath); and his wife Linda Ditzler (Poorbaugh). He is survived by: his children, Sandra Matthews (Eugene), Melanie Welch (Brian), Adam Ditzler (Sheila) and David Ditzler (Molly). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Church of Christ (150 E North St, Wooster, OH 44691).
