He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail Jr. Austin and Mary Ewing Austin; and his son-in-law George Starr. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Smith Austin; his children, Mike Austin (Sheila) and Mary Jo Starr (George); and his sister Janey Bone. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons.
