Though Kurt may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kurt touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his nephew Sean Slater. He is survived by: his parents, Charles Slater and Donna Slater of Wooster; his siblings, Jennifer of Wooster and Jeff of South Carolina; his sister-in-law Theresa; and his siblings' children, Colin and Sydney.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (301 N Market St, Wooster, OH 44691).
