It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn J. Gessel of Wooster, Ohio, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Grant and Clarice Aleda Guiler (Danford); her husband Carl Robert Gessel (Bob); her brothers, Eugene Guiler and William Guiler; and her brother-in-law Don Christman.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Gessel (Linda) of Apple Creek, Debbie Odenkirk (Randy) of Lucas and Steve Gessel (Lisa) of Apple Creek; her siblings, Gloria Weber (Dale) of Pataskala, Karl Guiler (Sally) of Etna and Carolyn Christman of Pataskala; her siblings-in-law, Wanda Guiler of Decatur Alabama and G. H. "Jack" Gessel (Phyllis) of Creston; her great grandchildren, Dustin, Sarah, Micah, Ryne and Asher; and her grandchildren, Jenna, John, Lila, Levi, Jacoby, Paul, Shiloh, Judah, Selah, Savannah, Payton, Amy, Brittanie, Adam, Bryleigh, Skylynn, Myles, Josh, Chyrsten, Alisa, Brindi, James, Aubrey, Kelsey, David, Austin, Andrew, Kylie, T. J., Raiden, Gage, Sophie, Lexi, Mariah, Laikyn, Cory and Chelsea. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
