He is survived by: his son John Hoff (Holly) of Warren; his grandchildren, Crystal Hoff, Jonathan Hoff and Cortney Hoff; his siblings, Ken Hoff II, David Hoff, Phillip Hoff, Barbara Nussbaum (Darrell), Kathy Barrett and Beverly Hoff; his stepsiblings, Jeff, Wade Shamp, Kathy Allen (Del), Susan Beacham (John) and Kelly McKinley (Jim); and also Tricia Hoff (Miller).

“Mike and I spent a lot of Smithie time together in music and youth groups. We both played sousaphone and sang together in Choir and Debonairs. Then after graduation we went our separate ways. Then to my surprise this last year Mike showed up at our church, joined us at choir practice and it was great singing together again. We had a class of '65 gathering at the Barn and he joined us. This reunion was too short, but the wonderful memories long remain. Good-bye for now, Mike. Rex”
