He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Zimmerly and Florence Zimmerly (Miller); his sister Irene; his brothers-in-law, Ellsworth Kauffman and Cliff Greene; and his granddaughter Vivian.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Todd (Katie), Brian (Angie), Craig (Gwen), Chad (Sarah) and Geoffrey; his grandchildren, Clayton (Joanna), Brock, Tyler, Jenna, Sadie, Rosalie and Geneva; and his siblings, Doris Dravenstott (Don), Don Zimmerly (Laverne) and Anita Greene.
