He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Sowers and Ione "June" Hoover Sowers; his son-in-law Michael Harter; his siblings, Terry Garrett and David Sowers; and his nephew Davey Sowers.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Cary Ann Harter of Wooster and Kimberly Stillwagon (John) of Wadsworth; his grandchildren, Aaron Harter (Debra) of Orrville, Marissa Swartzentruber (Christopher) of Orrville, Sarah Higgins (Garrett) of Orrville, Miles Harter of Wooster, Robert Harter of Wooster, Molly Stillwagon of Wadsworth and Jackson Stillwagon; and his siblings, Andrea Fiedler (Alan) and Joni Sambol (Rohn). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (527 Beall Ave, Wooster, OH 44691). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
