He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Ackerman and Dorothy Baker Ackerman; his grandsons, Gavin Griffith and William Salyers; and his brother William C. Ackerman.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Wolf; his children, Melissa Ackerman of Apple Creek, Chad Griffith (Laura) of Canal Fulton, Matt Ackerman of Mt. Cobb, PA, Tiffany Salyers of Delta and Mitchell Ackerman (Krisanne Cuellar) of Noblesville, IN; his grandchildren, Kale, Karissa Leckrone, Carly Larios, Dylan McManus, Devin Griffith, Ashley, Alec Ackerman, Ian, Jaydin, Dominic and Tyler Salyers; and his siblings, Thomas Ackerman (Juleah) of Shreve, Lloyd Ackerman (Lilia) of Wooster, Nancy Burkhart (Dan) of Wooster, Victoria Pruitt (Wayne) of Wooster, Dale R. Ackerman of Fredericksburg, Susan Morris (Andy) of Fredericksburg, James Ackerman (Kathy) of Fredericksburg and Amy Scott (John) of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
