He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert, Donald Taylor and Ruth Akers; his stepson Chris Phillips; and his grandsons, Richard Beckett and Brandon Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Beckett (Richard), Wanda Amstutz (Dennis) and Russell Taylor Jr. (Belinda); his stepdaughters, Melody Duskey (Charlie), Lorna Duskey and Mariah Dawson (Ken); his sister Marilyn Thomas; and his close friend Judie White. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
