With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel Garlyin Hinton of Wooster, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearley B. Hinton and Bernice Hinton (Hardesty); and his brothers, Max Hinton, Eugene Hinton, John and Gerald Hinton.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Hinton (Smith); his sons, Jeff Hinton (Darlene) of Wooster, Mark Hinton of Wooster and Scott Hinton (Jenny) of Wooster; his grandchildren, Ashley Leiner (Josh), Todd Hinton (Moriah), Kyle Hinton, Nick Hinton, Brooke Hinton and Shelby Thorpe; and his sister June Schaefer. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
