He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Rettig and Ruth Imhof Rettig; his grandson Bo Schonauer; and his siblings, Beth Goebels, Judy Goodman and Art Rettig.
He is survived by: his wife Chris Keck; his children, Heather Cropp (Dean) of Wooster, Erica Schonauer (Scott) of Holmesville, Leslie Rettig (Doug) of Wooster, Jeffrey Rettig (Lindsay) of Orrville and Heidi Gallion (Michael) of Orrville; and his brother Dan Rettig (Sherri) of Wooster. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
