With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Marie Wendling of Wooster, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Peters and Gerladine Peters (Miller); her husband Ted C. Wendling; and her son Russell Wendling. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Wendling (Linda) of Gainesville, FL, Larry Wendling (Cindy) of Westerville and Patty Shannon (Doug) of Perrysville; her grandchildren, Matthew Wendling (Sybil), Dr. Adam Wendling (LindaLe), Michelle Gray (Josh), Heath Shannon (Nicole), Lindsay Carr (Matthew), John Wendling (Heidi) and Gretchen Crabtree (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Alexander (Elizabeth), William, Penelope Wendling, Tommy, Gwendolyn Wendling, Helaina, Calum Gray, Fiona, Lochlan Shannon, Harper, Hudson Carr, Olivia, Tatum, Regan Wendling, Chelsea Lindsey (Collin), Larkin and Kennedy Crabtree; her great great grandchild Jack Lindsey; and her sister Ramona Purcell (Tony).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lindsey Chapel (123 N Market St, Loudonville, OH 44842). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Contributions in Vivian's memory may be made at or mailed to the funeral home to the American Red Cross (in support of the large number of blood donations Vivian made) and to the First Presbyterian Church in Perrysville. Keep Vivian Marie Wendling's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
