He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Alvin and Jean Shaw Cunningham; and his siblings, Richard Alvin Cunningham and Beryl Jean Cunningham. He is survived by: his wife Janet Cunningham (Gutliph); his daughters, Sandra Rickly (Mike), Jody Marshall, Mindy Morrison, Jerry Morrison and Penny (Menachem); and his great grandchild Herb.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Linworth Baptist Church (6200 Linworth Rd, Worthington, OH 43085). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Linworth Baptist Church and National Church Residences.
