Barbara Hartle Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Hartle of Xenia, Ohio, who passed away on January 28, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Slayman and Myrtle Gessner; her husband Jon Hartle; her brother Charles "Butchie" Slayman; and her grandchildren, Kellie Johnson and Braden Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Tim Friedmann (Jennie), Debbie Johnson (Chuck), Sean Friedmann and Heather Conroy (Todd); her grandchildren, Sammy Carpenter (Mark), Becky Ward (Bobby), Olivia Friedmann, Haley Johnson, Kellan Friedmann, Trevi Friedmann, Chelsea Shoemaker and Tara Smith (Alex); her great grandchildren, Carmen, Miles, Bellamy, Brynleigh, Leighton, Aubree and Xander; and her brother Jim Gessner (Rita). She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Heartland's Hospice in memory of Barbara.
