She is survived by : her husband Max Benton; her children, Rockney Jernee (Ann), Linda Brinegar (Stanley), Sue Kennedy (Dennis), Timothy Jernee (Jane) and Patti Spitler (Dennis); and her grandchildren, Cornelius, Tyler Brinegar, Sabrina Sparks, Rochelle Watkins, Marilee Kelhoffer, Dawn McNeese, Kenny, Kevin, Tony Izor, Christopher Spitler and Nicole Vance.

“Aunt Carol was a very special person in my life. She was there when my parents got divorced, she took me shopping for some clothes and would gift me make up. She was always there one way or another , it saddens me that I can not be there today to give my condolences in person. I am thankful for her and that I can write this message.
