He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Shoemaker and Christine Shoemaker (Reed); his wife Clara Shoemaker (Ruckel); and his sister Shirley Maxwell. He is survived by: his sons, Phillip and Charles Jr. Shoemaker (Beverly); his siblings, Ramona Boone (Sonny), Jerry Shoemaker (Bev), Mary Ann Murphy and Vickie Bayless (Ed); his grandchildren, Katelyn Cobb (Jonathon), Kirk Shoemaker (Chelsea) and Kyle Shoemaker (Kathryn); and his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Evelyn, Finley, Emma, Lincoln, Bexley and Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bible Baptist Church (1679 W 2nd St, Xenia, OH 45385). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
