She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Shank and Bertha Shank (Rickels); her husband John W. Osborn Jr.; her former life partner Harold L. Fischer; her siblings, Thelma Cline (Ted), Wilhelmina Coblentz (David), Eileen Luttrell (Bud), Phyllis Cyphers (Don), Roger, George and Harry Shank; and her stepson Gerald "Jerry" Fischer (Paulette).

She is survived by : her children, Gina Marie Fischer (Kip Slone), Gary Fischer (Susan) and Gaye Dian Fischer (Daniel Doherty); her stepson Phillip Osborn; her grandchildren, Stephen Fischer (Linda), Danielle Andrews (Daniel), Corey Fischer (Jill), Hannah Mendez (Juan), Rebekah Coblentz (Jeremy Semelsberger), Kimberly Yarber (Ryan Myers), Brianna Fischer and Madelyn Fischer; and her great grandchildren, Seth Orozco, Gavin Fischer, Eli Mendez, Ethan Fischer, Isabella Orozco, Ian Mendez, Makayla Fischer, Carter Fischer, Vivienne Mendez, Chloe Fischer, Wyatt Andrews, Cambrie Fischer, Kyon Fischer, Noah Andrews and Elyana Fischer. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton) or to the Beaver United Church of Christ (1960 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek).
