He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence A. Knisley and Bernice L. Chaffin Knisley; his wife Cheryl Knisley (Samson); his brother Joseph E. Knisley; and his grandson Jacob Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Lynne Marie Sorneson (Lorne), Amy Hall (Debbie Wagner), Carey Hale (Allan), Dan Knisley (Sharon), Brian Knisley, Craig Knisley (Andrea) and Ethan Robert Knisley (Erin); and his brother Gerald C. Knisley (Glenna). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Neeld Funeral Home, Inc. (1276 N Detroit St, Xenia, OH 45385). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Neeld Funeral Home (1276 N Detroit St, Xenia, OH 45385).
