It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Kirk (Yellow Springs, Ohio), who passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Bernice is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parent Ora Lee Bobo Spears; her husband Adell Kirk; her father Joe Renzie Spears; and her siblings, Francis Spears McCullough, Edgar Spears, Meagon Spears Key and David Spears.
She is survived by: her sister Deborah Spears Gardner; and her children, Werdell Kirk and Linda Lee Cox (Christopher). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
