He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Spiegel and Richard Spiegel; and his siblings, Richard, Larry and Jackie Fischels.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Apel; his children, Deborah (Patrick Pryzborowski), Daniel (Melissa) and Heidi; his grandchildren, Cameron Porter (Alice Inchauspe), Bre Porter, Jarrod Ferstl and Eliot Ferstl (Olivia Ferrazza); and his brother Thomas (Linda).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Natural Burial Cemetery (4445 US-68, Yellow Springs, OH 45387).
