With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alice L. Giba (Youngstown, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Boleslaw" Jacob Slipski and Anastasia Kotowski Slipski; her husband Paul W. Giba; her son Gary G.; her siblings, Louis Slepski (Louise), Walter Slipski, Adam (Lucille), Chester Slepski (Luella), John Slipski (Winifred), Rev. William P. Slipski, Frances Luchansky (Michael), Eleanor (Paul Luchansky), Stella and Irene; her brothers-in-law, Michael (John), Joseph (Andrew) and Frank (Frank David Giba); Mary Thomas (Paul), Ann Wikete (Joseph), Helen Shellesky (Andrew) and Kathryn Sovik (Paul).
She is survived by: her son Atty; her grandchildren, Alexis Kelly (Brennen) of Elkins, W. Va, Gillian Hepp (Nicholas) of Thornburg and Jack W. Giba of Durham, N. C.; and her great grandchildren, Quinlyn R. of Elkins and Finley M. Kelly of Elkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church.
