Bernice Kaplon Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice Kaplon of Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on December 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominic Barwinski and Elizabeth Barwinski (Kopij); her husband Myron Kaplon; her daughter Wanda Kaplon; and her siblings, Baltazy, John Barwinski, Agnes Kaminski, Helen Antolak and Harriet Carey.

She is survived by: her daughters, Krystina Mortellaro (Joseph) and Theresa Barvitski (John); her grandchildren, Brian Mortellaro (Janine), Jenna Barvitski and Jesika Barvitski Bloomberg (Dan); and her great grandchildren, Emma, Abby and Sarah Mortellaro. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
