He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Swindler and Lois Jane Swindler; his parents-in-law, Michael P. and Julia Homsey; and his brother-in-law Michael Peter Homsey.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Susan Homsey Swindler; his children, David Swindler (Gina) and Julie Higgins (Eric); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Swindler, Ashley Swindler, Elijah Higgins and Samuel Higgins; his sister Kathy Swindler (Mike Lee); his sister-in-law Josie Homsey; his nieces, Sara Homsey and Dana Gierut (Michael); his nephew Michael Homsey; his great-nephew William Gierut; and his great-niece Madelyn Gierut.
