He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Swindler and Lois Jane Swindler; his parents-in-law, Michael P. and Julia Homsey; and his brother-in-law Michael Peter Homsey.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Susan Homsey Swindler; his children, David Swindler (Gina) and Julie Higgins (Eric); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Swindler, Ashley Swindler, Elijah Higgins and Samuel Higgins; his sister Kathy Swindler (Mike Lee); his sister-in-law Josie Homsey; his sibling's children, Sara Homsey, Dana Gierut (Michael) and Michael Homsey; his great-nephew William Gierut; and his great-niece Madelyn Gierut.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kinnick Funeral Home (477 N Meridian Rd, Youngstown, OH 44509). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Church (300 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406).
