He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Jones Mitchell; his children, Shannon Carter of Youngstown, Daniel Wiggins of Youngstown, Lation Branch of Youngstown, Sheona Jones of Youngstown, Leonard Carter of Youngstown, Tyrone Jennings of Youngstown, Kamila of Youngstown, Shanika of Youngstown and Derek Carter of Erie, Ohio; his siblings, Barbara Jean Smith of Boston, MA., Sharon Mitchell of Boston, MA., Maurice Mitchell of Boston, MA., Rebecca Mitchell, Missy Taylor of Atlanta, GA., Evangelist Connie Weaver (Richard) of Campbell, OH., Robert Taylor (Mary) of Youngstown, OH, Anthony Taylor of Youngstown, OH, Brenda Mitchell of Youngstown, OH and Willie Mitchell of Huber Heights, OH; his uncle Billy Washington; and his great grandchildren, Eleyan Rose Henderson and Alex Carl Henderson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home Inc. (1951 McGuffey Rd, Youngstown, OH 44505). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
