It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Ungar in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Paul and Dorothy M. McDonald; his brother John Roy Ungar; his granddaughter Emma Grace Watson; and his close friends, Louie Amicarelli, Phil and Bev Goings.
He is survived by: his wife Ivana Luka-Ungar; his stepchildren, Ashley Lister (Matt) of Asheville, Heather Adams (Jim) of Brandon, Lori Luka-Wyrwas (Tony Wyrwas) of Avon and Christopher Luka (Jessica) of Reston; his grandchildren, Brady Watson, Easton, Ruthie and Ruby Adams; and his close friends, Mickey and Kevin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM at the St. Dominic Church (77 E Lucius Ave, Youngstown, OH 44507). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
