He was predeceased by: his parents, Stefan Olek and Marcelina Kaleta Olek; his son Robert Olek; and his siblings, Zbigniew Olek and Danuta Konkol.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Anna Karina and Marzena Marcelina; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Raina and Jacob; his children-in-law, Matthew and Adeel; and his siblings, Wanda Gliwa, Jadwiga Majewska, Wladyslaw Olek and Ryszard Olek.
