He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn DePuy and Loretta Theobald DePuy; his brother Glenn DePuy; and his sister-in-law Nancy DePuy. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Vinsack DePuy; his sons, Jason DePuy of Indiana, David DePuy of Canfield, Mike Pemberton (Jen) of North Jackson and Dr. Zaal Paymaster (Jennifer) of Belton; his grandchildren, Hunter, Alyssa, Brenden, Aden, Devin, Skyler, Talon and Lizzie; his niece Kimberly Bronson (Scott); and also Breanne DePuy.
