It is with sadness that the passing of George B. Briel (Youngstown, Ohio) is shared. George, born on August 21, 1930, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Briel and Bertha Reuter Briel; his wife Cecilia "Faye" Briel of Briel's Flowers; and his siblings, William "Bud" Briel Jr. and Jean Karran.

He is survived by: his children, Paula Kohler and George Briel Jr. (Frances); his grandchildren, Casey Skufca (Kim), Heather Hively (Fred), Zachary Kohler (Sara) and Molly Barnhart (David); his great grandchildren, Maddy, Emily, Abby, Riley Skufca, Asa, Jet, Indie, Olivia, Calvin Hively, Linus, Leland Kohler, Rory, Maeve and Tilly Barnhart; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley McGavin and Rita Cecil.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel (4303 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44515). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
