He is survived by: his wife Barbara Teets Merrill; his children, Angela Leathers (Kenny) and Dustin Merrill (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Paul Leathers, Hope Burbick, Philip Burbick, Isaac Burbick and Ayden Merrill.
