He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chismar and Mary Chismar (Maurer); his siblings, Dorothy Stolar (Andy), Mary Pauline Kral, William Chismar (Mariann), Joseph Chismar and Anthony Chismar (Barbara); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Chismar, Janie Chismar and Tom Stolar.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Naples; his children, Lisa O'Brien (Kevin) of Columbus and John Jr. Chismar (Kathy) of Columbus; his grandsons, Jason O'Brien, Alex and Peter Chismar; his brothers, Michael Chismar and Edward Chismar; and his sister-in-law Joann Stolar. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
